Acupuncture

Involves the insertion of thin needles into specific points on the body. This process allows the body’s energy systems to realign into healthy patterns and have a seamless flow of Qi.

Qi Gong Healing

The use of Qi Gong meditation techniques including breathwork, gentle movements, hand mudras, and mantras to balance the meridians and energy systems.

Tuina Massage

A type of Chinese therapeutic massage that involves acupoint stimulation and soft tissue manipulation that includes techniques such as pushing, kneading, rubbing, rolling and grasping.

Craniosacral Therapy

The use of very subtle, light touch to encourage the balance of the craniosacral system in the body, which includes the bones, nerves, fluids, and connective tissues of the cranium and spinal column.

Visceral Manipulation

A variety of manual therapy that incorporates gentle massage techniques applied to the organs located in the abdominal, pelvic and thoracic areas. These techniques help to release restrictions in the connective tissue surrounding the organs allowing for an enhanced flow of fluids and balanced energy flow.

Cupping

A technique in which negative pressure is applied to a glass cup in order to create suction on the skin. This is used to release adhesions in the muscle layer and separate fascial constrictions.

Hypnotic Journeying

Hypnotherapy or hypnotic suggestion, is a therapist guided trance-like state in which you have a heightened focus and concentration. The use of deep breathing techniques, visualization, sensory cues, and verbal repetition assist in neural reprocessing to shift unwanted behavious, events, and feelings for more freedom, joy, and happiness.

Gua Sha

The use of a porcelain, jade or stone spoon that is scraped along the skin to remove blockages created by Qi and blood stagnation and promoting normal circulation and metabolic processes.

Moxibustion

The burning of plant material known as “moxa” on or near specific acupoints and meridians. The plant used is Mugwort, latin name Artemisia argyi or in chinese Ai Ye. This technique is helpful for strengthening blood, stimulating Qi flow and creates an analgesic effect.

Nutritional Therapy

We may suggest particular foods or fluids that would be helpful to incorporate into your daily diet to optimize the body’s metabolic processes. Traditional Chinese Medicine energetics of food may be discussed as well.

Sound Healing

The use of tuning forks, singing bowls and instruments on and off the body to enhance the smooth flow of Qi in the meridian system while encouraging a relaxing state of being.
